This hinge is very
small. It can be glued to a damaged
hammer butt and the hammer butt rail with
epoxy, or it
can be drilled and anchored with a wood screw or even
a small nut and bolt. You may have to carve the hammer butt
so that the
hinge flap lies flat. It can also
be used with broken brass hammer butts and
brass
rails. One flap could even be soldered to the broken hardware of the
rail. The pin can be removed and is stainless steel. Lubricate
the pin and
knuckle of the hinge so it moves
freely.
