| STICKER REPAIR: Remove the action from the piano as in Chapter Five. Remove a good sticker and wippen assembly. The sticker is attached at the lower rail, and the wippen to its own rail. Lay the replacement sticker beside the one from the piano, and cut the dowel so that it will allow the new sticker to be the exact same length as the old one. Attach the new sticker to the wippen by sliding the center pin our just far enough for the sticker end to insert into the groove of the wippen. Carefully slide the center pin back into place. Try not to damage the little felt bushing in the wippen. Glue in place and lay the sticker/wippen assembly flat while drying so that is is true. |
